描述
SFF-8643 8i是一款72针高密度MINI SAS连接器，采用通常用于内部连接的塑料体接口，主要用于实现HD SAS内部互连解决方案。典型应用是SAS HBA与SAS驱动器子系统之间的内部SAS链路。SFF-8643符合SAS3.0规范，支持12Gbps数据传输协议。
SFF-8639，即U.2，是一款68针驱动器接口连接器，用于连接Multilink SAS驱动器或PCIe驱动器（包括硬盘驱动器和SSD驱动器等）。高速低延迟低功耗，支持NVMe标准协议，并且走的是PCI-E 3.0 x4通道，理论传输速度高达32Gbps。同时，U.2不但能支持SATA-Express规范，还能兼容SAS、SATA等规范。
